Bolt driver, customer escape death in Calabar | The Paradise News

A micro-mobility company, Bolt driver has escaped death with a customer (passenger) he carried in front of his car in Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria.

THE PARADISE NEWS gathered that an over speeding truck rammed into the Bolt vehicle (a Toyota Corolla), on Monday (March 28, 2022) afternoon along SPC Road by Nigerian Navy Primary School, Calabar Municipal Local Government Area.

According to the customer (passenger) who narrated the incident shortly after the accident on Facebook, she was going to Federal Housing Estate when the accident happened.

Luckily for her and the Bolt driver, they came out alive despite the front vehicle being severely damaged by the hit from the heavy-duty truck.

“I was on my way this afternoon to Federal Housing opposite Navy primary school Calabar, the umber [sic] (Bolt) driver that carried me had a terrible accident with a heavy truck and I was Infront [sic] of the car, thank God I and the umber [sic] driver came out without any scratch, I would have been a dead person, God forbid, my God is too Faithful to fail me, Thank you Jesus…”, Isu Eyong, the accident victim posted on Facebook.

This is the second time Calabar is recording a ghastly road accident in less than a week. The other was on Friday which severely injured about 25 Military officers along the Murtala Mohammed Highway by Beebosco Junction.
